haven been updating my whereabts for the past wk.. 4th wk of sch turned out to be smooth sailing unlike the previous week with all the ups and downs..
1st September 2007 marked the last freshmen orientation project of the yr or so call a wrapped up.. well, this is going to be the last project i'll be involved as an undergraduate of nus.. if by any chance that i will attend rag or dnd next yr, i will probably be sitting among the lao jiaoz with ppl like wee tong, justin and even tiong hoe at the same table...
for this yr's dnd, preparation were done hastily for my part..
back in yr 2005, ash and pica went to borrow costume in order to dress to the theme - Ali BaBa and the Arabian Princess.. we had been going down to arab street sourcing for suitable costumes to match the nite's theme.. and i rmb going to suyi's hse together with ren hui and val for preparation before setting off together.. her mother was so kind to help us with the makeup and borrow her accessories to us.. and not forgetting the cam whoring and chit chatting session we had in suyi's room after DnD when we stayed over at her place..
in yr 2006, sow comm decided to break away from the norm, instead of dressing to the theme, we came up with our own theme, Retro Nite.. that yr, we were crazy shopping for retro dresses, big earrings and bangles as a comm.. we even stayed overnight at the hotel after dnd.. like for the previous yr, i did all the preparation at suyi's hse with her mum's help..
this yr, the theme was 'NOIR' which literally means black in English.. preparations were done last min as i was busy with presentation and tests.. furthermore, there's no plan abt wearing anything special.. so instead of ppl shopping with me, having the same goals in our mind, i ended up shopping alone.. i'm thankful that sihui and bland actually took their time off to accompany me as well as giving me opinions.. i actually missed the past 2 yrs' dnd when i was doing all the shopping.. i miss suyi and her mother more when i was doing all the preparation all alone..
but all in all, everything turned out well.. i'm happy for mosses who emerged as science king.. he did haf a lot of support from his supporters.. we all knew right from the start that he wasn't one of the hot favorites, he himself noe that too.. in fact if u would to look at his pageant photo, he juz looked like a typical 'ah beng' walking on the street, with all the piercings, orange coloured hair, long finger nails and the 'kiam pa' face.. he often say this "dun be deceived by my looks, i'm actually a nice boy.." yea, tat's it that make us went all out to support this look-deceiving nice boy..
