"Relief teacher sacked for mocking students"
This was the headline of ytd's 'the new paper'.
One would be wondering what grave mistake this teacher have committed to receive such a punishment. Guess what he did?
A relief teacher teaching English at a particular pri sch, he complained abt having headache marking all the nonsense composition on his blog. Well, that's of course not SERIOUS enuff for him to be sacked. What he did further was to upload the so called 'ridiculous composition' from his students to his blog and claimed it as a source of 'ENTERTAINMENT' for reader to ENJOY.. (what the hell!)
Then he commented that he dun rmb having such horrible std of English when he was 9.
As an adult, it would be embarrassing enuff if the composition would to be mine. what more these victims are only pri sch kids at a tender age of 9. YES, indeed, the humiliation is sure enuff to make them cry.
U may have laugh at your friend or your family members on their command of the language but that's in an informal setting. Most of the time, its only for fun and I'm sure most of us dun mean it. However, between Student and Teacher, its otherwise.
Tat left one to ponder what the role of a teacher is. A teacher shld be the person who correct student's mistake and see them improving day by day. In another words, A role model. A GOOD role model to be explicit.
It sad to hear that there are ppl ard who take this as a joke.
