Olden Gals Vs Modern Gals
i find the conversation amusing..

Mother: gals nowadays can nv be compared to those in ur ah ma's days...
Daughter: y?
Mother: gals nowadays, dunno how to cook, dunno how to sew, dunno even noe how to behave like a gal. and they simply can't take any hardship..
Daughter: hmm, but gals nowadays noe how to shop, noe how to dress up, noe how to write, noe how to read, noe how to use the computer, the internet and HP, noe how to defend for themselves, noe marriage lies in their own hands not in their parents. y can't the above match up with the gals in the past? they might not be able to make kueh, but baking pasta, cooking maggie mee is juz another form of cooking, isn't it? anyway, y do the modern gals have to try to learn how to take hardship when there's not as many hardship compared to the past to begin with?
Mother: *at a lost of words*

at the end of the day, it's comparing btw apple & orange.
so the point is: y muz the apple always have to be better?
